A father grieves as his daughter, a first-class graduate, passes away in a Rivers hospital during a routine checkup.

A grieving family is seeking justice following the death of their daughter, Rebeka Sekidika, a first-class university graduate, at a hospital in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Reports indicate that Rebeka tragically passed away during a routine hospital visit, prompting her family to allege medical negligence against the hospital.

Rebeka, who was preparing to pursue her education abroad, visited Paragon Clinics & Imaging in Port Harcourt after experiencing a three-month absence of her menstrual period.

Despite undergoing several tests, including a pregnancy test, all results came back negative.

She subsequently returned to the hospital for a diagnostic hysteroscopy. On February 2nd, she visited the hospital for this non-life-threatening procedure, appearing perfectly healthy as she even attended her online class using her laptop while waiting.

Tragically, moments later, her parents heard commotion from the operating theater and were devastated to learn of Rebeka’s passing.

Upon entering the room, her father found her in a distressing state, surrounded by blood. He struggles to comprehend how his previously healthy daughter could meet such a tragic end.
