Afrobeats artist Zamorra maintains that gospel music ought to be available at no cost.

Zamorra, also known as Abdulateef Oluwashina Adekunle, asserts that gospel music should remain free, without artists commercializing their melodies, sparking controversy on his Twitter handle @Zamosings.

He believes that songs derived from the gospel should not be monetized, as they stem directly from the Bible.

Zamorra also shares that during his upbringing, hymn composers weren’t compensated for performing at churches.

His tweet reads;

“COMMERCIALIZING Gospel music is a SCAM!!!! It’s the GOSPEL! it’s to be FREE!!!!
It’s an awkward occupation, lol really, commercializing the good news cos you made dem into melodies? How many hymnal composers were invited to your church to perform Hymns while you were growing up 😂😂😂🐈‍⬛🔊”
