Cynthia Morgan suggests that it should be considered a crime for two financially struggling individuals to be in a relationship.

Renowned Nigerian musician, Cynthia Morgan, has offered insight into why she believes it should be deemed criminal for two individuals who are financially, spiritually, and mentally impoverished to be in a relationship.

Taking to her Instagram story, the dancehall artist questioned why some people become defensive when it’s suggested that men shouldn’t be financially unstable while dating.

Continuing her discourse, Cynthia Morgan elaborated on the three dimensions of brokenness she identifies: spiritual, mental, and financial.

According to her, men are inherently providers, yet she acknowledges that it’s permissible for a man to be financially struggling while dating a woman.

However, she asserts that, in her view, it should be considered a crime for two individuals who are financially, spiritually, and mentally destitute to be in a relationship.

In her own words: “I’m not sure why some people take offense when it’s suggested that men shouldn’t be financially unstable while dating.

Firstly, I’d like to emphasize that there are three forms of brokenness: financial, mental, and spiritual.

Let me elaborate specifically on financial brokenness. Men are naturally inclined to provide. If you happen to find a woman who doesn’t mind, that’s fine.

However, in my opinion, it should be deemed a crime for two individuals who are financially, spiritually, and mentally impoverished to be in a relationship.”
