“I came into the Industry before him, but I began looking up to him as time went by” – Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu share experience with late Mr Ibu

Veteran actors Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu are mourning the loss of their colleague, Mr. Ibu, as they share their experiences with the comedy legend.

Following the sad passing of the veteran Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu on March 2, 2024, after suffering a cardiac arrest, his two colleagues, Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu, who had starred alongside him in numerous movies, took to social media to express their grief upon hearing the news.

Recalling the moment they received the news, Awurum and Osuagwu revealed that they were on set shooting in Ghana. The news of Mr. Ibu’s death prompted them to pause production and reflect on the loss.

Both actors spoke highly of the late Mr. Ibu, emphasizing the significant void his absence would leave in the movie industry.

Awurum reminisced about his earlier days in the movie industry, mentioning that although he had entered the industry before Mr. Ibu, he soon began to look up to him due to his immense talent and contributions.
