“I had a studio in my father’s house That He never knew of” – Davido

Afrobeat sensation Davido has revealed an intriguing aspect of his early music journey, disclosing that he had a recording studio in the same house as his father, Adedeji Adeleke, without his father’s knowledge.

In a recent interview, Davido reflected on the sacrifices made by Nigerian artists’ predecessors and shared insights into his own path to the music industry.

He recounted how he managed to establish a hidden recording studio in his family home, which had over 20 rooms. This clandestine setup allowed him to pursue his musical aspirations without his father’s awareness, as his father typically retired to his room after work.
