The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Bauchi has called on citizens to join the party in creating a better future for the state, criticizing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) for failing to fulfill their promises.
The PRP also urged citizens to remain vigilant and discerning amid the current political tensions.
The party cautioned against being misled by the ongoing disputes between PDP and APC leaders, suggesting that these conflicts may be motivated by personal gain.
This message was conveyed in a statement issued by Abdulazeez Haruna, the state secretary, on Saturday. The statement reads: “The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Bauchi State Chapter calls on the people of Bauchi State to stay alert and not be deceived by the verbal clashes between the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
“The PRP Bauchi State Chapter believes these politicians are cut from the same cloth, frequently switching allegiances in pursuit of personal interests, often prioritizing their own pockets over the public good.
“These are the same individuals who have failed to bring meaningful development to the state, instead engaging in wasteful projects and the misappropriation of public funds without transparency or accountability.
“Under the current PDP administration, Bauchi State has faced unprecedented hardship, with hunger and poverty as the primary challenges confronting the people.
“Despite the opportunity to make a difference, the PDP government has failed to fulfill its promises, focusing instead on enriching themselves at the expense of the public, with little regard for transparency or accountability.
“Similarly, the APC-led government at the federal level has also failed to bring any substantial development to the state, instead imposing policies that harm the masses and engaging in blatant embezzlement of public funds.
“In fact, many of the current APC leaders were formerly members of the PDP and have only switched parties in pursuit of personal gain, reflecting their lack of integrity.
“The PRP Bauchi State Chapter urges the people of Bauchi State to reject these self-serving politicians who have no genuine interest in their welfare. We must recognize them for what they are and not be swayed by their empty promises and deceptive rhetoric.
“The PRP remains committed to safeguarding and advancing the interests of the people of Bauchi State with honesty, integrity, and transparency. We believe it is time for a new approach to governance, one that places the needs and aspirations of the people above personal interests.”
