Mohbad’s mother alleges that Naira Marley and Sam Larry caused her son’s death due to frustration.

Abosede, the mother of the deceased singer, has asserted that Samson Balogun, also known as Sam Larry, and Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, contributed to her son’s demise through frustration.

In an interview with Saturday PUNCH titled “Uncensored: Mohbad’s mother opens up about her late son, ex-husband, Naira Marley,” Abosede disclosed that her late son never experienced peace in his life as Naira Marley and Sam Larry were constantly causing him trouble.

“Mohbad did not know peace throughout his lifetime. He was always going from one problem to another in the hands of Naira Marley and Sam Larry. His manager was Naira Marley’s brother, and I did not like him.

“Every time I went there, I always told Mohbad to stay away from him, yet he was always sleeping on Mohbad’s bed.

I told Mohbad to keep away from everyone associated with Naira Marley and should not work with them anymore. I had always been involved in my son’s life. Every curse that Naira Marley rains on me will return to him,” she said.

Continuing, she elaborated on how Mohbad approached her late one night to discuss a conversation with Naira Marley, expressing his desire to change his management.

She recounted an incident where Mohbad’s former boss handed him something he didn’t want to take, causing Mohbad to feel scared and seek refuge in the bathroom, where he called her for help. Seeking assistance from her pastor, they prayed together.

She further alleged that Sam Larry physically assaulted Mohbad, falsely claiming he owed him money, which her son denied.

Additionally, she claimed that Naira Marley once beat Mohbad severely, resulting in hospitalization.

To aid his recovery, they resorted to using hot water massages, and Mohbad was unable to speak for two days due to the severity of the beating, even developing hypertension as a result.

“After Mohbad recovered from his illness, Naira Marley didn’t want him to return to Marlian Music, claiming he was tarnishing their reputation.

Mohbad himself didn’t wish to return. I accompanied his father to plead with Naira. It was my first time visiting their house, as Joseph usually went there. I seek justice for my son.”
