NDLEA confiscates 4,752kg of cannabis in Abuja

The recent operations conducted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) highlight a significant crackdown on illegal drug trafficking in Nigeria.

The agency has intercepted large quantities of illegal drugs including cannabis, codeine syrup, and various other opioids across different states.

These seizures underscore the pervasive issue of drug trafficking and abuse in the region, as well as the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to combat this problem through stringent enforcement measures.

The multiple arrests and the interception of drug shipments on major transportation routes such as the Abuja-Abaji highway and at the Seme border indicate a well-coordinated approach to curb the spread of illegal drugs across national borders and within key distribution nodes in the country.
