“Some gatekeepers don dey boycott me. Some OGs don dey blackmail me.” – Oxlade laments

Singer Ikuforiji Olaitan, popularly known as Oxlade, has voiced his concerns about facing blacklisting from certain gatekeepers within the music industry.

He alleges that some senior colleagues are attempting to blackmail him, and as a result, he is being sidelined by these gatekeepers from opportunities within the industry.

Oxlade further elaborates that he is facing imitation of his musical style by some of his peers, contributing to the challenges he is currently navigating.

In a recent freestyle session with Glitch Africa, the artist opened up about these issues, shedding light on the complexities he faces within the music industry.

“Many boys don dey sound like me and still many boys don dey backbit me. Why me? Some gatekeepers don dey boycott me. Some OGs don dey blackmail me.”
