President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the first batch of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The initial batch consists of 20 buses, all locally manufactured by Innoson Motors.

The government expressed confidence that these buses will alleviate transportation challenges, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Five of the CNG buses were showcased at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, where the President briefly paused the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting to officially commission them.
The introduction of these CNG buses is part of the concessions granted to organized labor following the Federal Government’s removal of fuel subsidies on May 29, 2023.
It is worth noting that last week, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman and CEO of Innoson Motors, met with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
